Thanks!
another new family (#46) for my backyard. While there's probably many aspects that make my current backyard count results "unusual", personally, I'm surprised at the high number of families I'm finding, especially relative to the current number of species. The current ratio is only 6.5:1 species to families. I had expected to see a much higher ratio.

Sorry...
to hijack your new family, but this isn't a clambid. Based on this forum post, I am moving to Nitidulidae:Cybocephalinae. I will attempt to get someone to look at it to see if we can't get it to species.

no problem,
better to be accurate and humble, than proud and sitting with the wrong family :)

envy!
I'm still hoping for one :-) Great detail, BTW.

contact
Jim,

I noticed you had contacted a Trevor Smith about the other Cybocephalus. Any chance you could run this one by him or provide me with his contact info? Thanks.

Just emailed him.

Rats! Message bounced; undeliverable!

In the details it says "Over quota." Maybe he's on remote sabbatical and his mailbox is overloaded.
