Is this maybe Ammophila procera ??

Definitely
not A. procera since the pronotal collar is not ridged. Likely A. urnaria, which is the most common species in your area. However, positive species ID not possible from these images.

I have moved to the guide with this title, but we can frass if we have too many images already.

Can't tell.
You need a close-up of the thorax to detect any rough sculpturing (parallel ridges, actually). Also, A. procera is substantially larger than your 'average' Ammophila, so an indication of size would help.

 
Size
I wasn't able to get a measurement, so just a guess from memory 20-25mm, which after reading the info page makes procera seem unlikely. But Ammophila for sure then?
