Foothills of Boise bug - Ammopelmatus

Foothills of Boise bug - Ammopelmatus
Boise, Ada County, Idaho, USA
October 15, 2008
My friend is building a trail in the foothills of Boise, it has been below freezing for a few nights and during the day for the last week. He is using machines to dig and remove 6 inches of top soil. I believe this bug was found while working in those conditions. The surrounding area is mostly sage brush and very dry from the summer.
