In this photo the buprestid looks like it is laying eggs. The ovipositer can be seen at the base of the abdomen. Nice photo, no doubt a Buprestis rufipes female.

Buprestis rufipes
Thanks so much. Now that I have the complete scientific name I can include it on Merchants Millpond State Park's species list.
