Arphia conspersa
Related, but pattern on wings is different, averages smaller, lighter in body coloring (usually). This one has wings that are most commonly yellow, orange, or pink, while they are almost always rich red in A. pseudonietana. Season is a help too. A. conspersa overwinters as nymphs and matures as early as February in some regions, May in others, but it is a species found mostly as adults in the spring. A. pseudonietana is a late season species, with the earliest adults appearing sometimes in June in some regions, but usually later. It is commonly seen in late summer and autumn.
