Little Guy - Myzocallis
Alexandria, Fairfax County, Virginia, USA
October 15, 2008
Not the best shot, but you can see it has four wings. When I first posted this, I thought it was one of these, but then I noticed it doesn't have red eyes or those markings on its back. It was hanging out with them by the blacklight, though.

Moved
Moved from Aphids.

ID
Myzocallis (Lineomyzocallis).

Great
Thank you!

Food plant
Don't forget, with aphids it is essential to find out the food plant; although flying ones may be anywhere, so in such cases you may never know.
There are 1,300 species of aphids in N. America and they are extremely difficult to ID. Read the discussion.
