Stonefly--Perlesta?

Stonefly--Perlesta?
Univ. Tennessee Biological Station, near Gatlinburg, Sevier County, Tennessee, USA
August 9, 2008
Size: 15 mm body length
Looks close to a Perlesta in the Perlidae (my first ideas--see comments for correction). Size estimated.
Search for photos from gathering_2008.

Probably not Perlesta
I don't know any species of Perlesta with pronotal markings like this. They usually have a mostly concolorous amber, brown, or black pronotum. Some specimens of a few species, like Perlesta decipiens, may have a variable pale medial stripe on the pronotum. Many perlodids have a pale pronotal stripe as well.

If I had to guess, this looks closer to some of the yellow members of the Chloroperlidae, like Sweltsa. However, it doesn't appear to be a good match for either of the Sweltsa species (lateralis or mediana) that are currently listed for TN.

Not an expert......
but it looks right to me.
