Gibbifer californicus, for th
Gibbifer californicus, for the Pleasing Fungus Beetle. It always amazed me that I used to go all the way to Arizona to see a beetle that was named californicus!

 
I know, I always think we should rename them
I guess that's why I posted this

The flies remind me of Ceroxy
The flies remind me of Ceroxys latiuscula. They are most abundant in the fall and early spring.
