Moth 19 - Synanthedon exitiosa

Moth 19 - Synanthedon exitiosa
Alpharetta, Georgia, USA
August 13, 2008
Size: 2 cm.?
Synanthedon exitiosa?

Yes, a female...
The peachtree borer is unusual in not only being a wasp mimic, but also that it pupates in the soil instead of under tree bark like most other clearwings. Good ID work.
