Noctuid of some kind? - Autographa californica

Noctuid of some kind? - Autographa californica
Aromas, San Benito County, California, USA
October 20, 2008
Size: ~20mm.
Found this guy in the middle of the day, sitting on our driveway.

Not an ID but
my first thought is Autographa californica (Alfalfa Looper Moth - Hodges#8914). Maybe a place to start anyway.

Autographa californica
ID confirmed by All-Leps Barcode of Life.

Thank you John
for the probable ID, looks similar to so I'll move to the Autographa californica page.
