Dr. Shelley, many thanks for your input. It's neat to turn up a very local species. Are there any online resources or books that have more information on this genus?

Modoc, McCormick Co., SC
I have collected in and around Modoc and found the area inhabited by a new milliped genus and species that I named, Furcillaria aequalis Shelley, 1981; it occurs in McCormick & neighboring Edgefield cos., SC, but does not cross the Savannah River into Georgia. I suspect this is the identity of this species rather than a species of Sigmoria.
