found this interesting bug in the bathtub. I've lived in California all my life and have never seen this type of insect before, is it native? What the heck is it? FYI: I carefully captured and released this fella into my backyard, hope it's not a bad guy.

I didn't know what these guys are till I stumble into this site. They are a favorite meal for my vacuum cleaner on sight.

i just seen them tonight and
i just seen them tonight and i seen a big one and at least one to two smaller ones i need to know how to get rid of them i am tirrified of bugs so this is really creeping me out.

Thanks for sharing this nice image! Most of the time, images of these are blurry because the thing is moving at warp speed, or because the photographer wants to remain a safe distance away. LOL!

ID: House Centipede
Your bathtub was host to a House Centipede (Scutigera coleoptrata). Definitely *not* a bad guy! They help to control some of the pests you find around your home. You may not have seen them before as they tend to be very shy, nocturnal, and hide under/around places you usually don't crawl.
