Fly - Homoneura incerta
Milton, Massachusetts, USA
July 6, 2005
Size: 3mm

Homoneura incerta
I am astonished to be able to identify this to species from a photograph, but it is Homoneura incerta (Malloch). A couple of distinctive wing features give it away - i.e., placement of spots, and size of the apical R2+3 spot.

Identified to species:)
It's not often getting these to species. Thanks Steve, that's great!!!

Lauxaniidae?
Looks like: Lauxaniidae, for instance:

I'm crossing my fingers, because I am not a "fly guy", but this looks correct.
