Last of the Season - Datana major
Mobile (Dog River), Mobile County, Alabama, USA

This Azalea Caterpillar (Datana major moth) is represents the last Gulf Coast brood of the season. I added a couple of them to my "over winter" nursery along with a Giant Leopard Moth caterpillar. Spring should be interesting.
