Looper Maybe - Lambdina fiscellaria

Looper Maybe - Lambdina fiscellaria
Minden, Haliburton, Ontario, Canada
September 21, 2008
Size: medium
This maybe a Hemlock Looper but the coloring seems wrong. Can someone confirm or deny this ID?

Moved from Moths.

Hello,
Lambdina fiscellaria comes in a variety of colors and hues ... take a look at the ones posted right here on BG. It is easy to envision this as one of the group. The rather unique pattern and shape seems to remain consistent though.
