A colorful beetle - Anthrenus scrophulariae

This beetle was found on the flowers of Bishop's Weed. Is it a Dermestid?

You're right
Yes, Dermestid. I suspect the genus is Anthrenus. They're nice, colorful (if small) beetles.

Yes.
What a fantastic portrait of the "buffalo carpet beetle," Anthrenus scrophulariae! That orange/red stripe down the back is diagnostic as far as I know. This is one species I've never seen INDOORS:-) Pity, I could better tolerate the damage to my insect collection if it yielded something this pretty!
