Antrodiaetus tunnel? - Antrodiaetus

Antrodiaetus tunnel? - Antrodiaetus
Huddart Park, San Mateo County, California, USA
October 30, 2008
Size: 1 cm diameter
I've been finding these small silk tubes protruding from muddy vertical banks along a trail through a mixed Pacific coastal forest. Looks like they might be the ? burrows or tunnels of Antrodiaetus sp? The tube was 1 cm in diameter and greater than 6 in. deep. I haven't been able to find the occupants yet.

I vote yes.
Heavily silk-lined, thin-walled turret is pretty distinctive.

Thanks, Charley!
