Seriously, this is a stinging insect known as the "saddleback caterpillar." It eventually metamorphoses into a rather dull, drab moth. Those spines pack a venom punch, so be careful.

I do not recognize...it is interesting!
BTW- This site resizes any image so that the image that appears online has 560px as its longest dimension. Sometimes the image will be cropped, so that the "Bug" will be more easily seen, and sometimes the image is simply resized. When that happens the "Bug" appears considerably smaller.

What I am try to say is that if you make a copy of the original and then crop out some of the background, then either resize it or not, the bug will be bigger, and easier to see!
