2281 - Palmerworm Moth - Dichomeris ligulella
....one of several forms for this species, it also may be seen in speckled or mottled versions without the broad white markings. The date would be about a month late for Maryland, but you have a somewhat warmer climate there near the mouth of Chesapeake Bay.
