Bombardier Beetle - Brachinus vulcanoides

Bombardier Beetle - Brachinus vulcanoides
Salisbury, Essex County, Massachusetts, USA
November 7, 2008
Size: 11mm
This beetle's seen better days. It was missing one elytra when I found it, and it didn't try to bomb me when I picked it up, otherwise it was active.

Moved
Moved from Bombardier Beetle.

Brachinus vulcanoides
based on my microscopic examination of this specimen. Thanks Tom.
