Moth with Cheerleader Tassles Tail? - Diaphania hyalinata

Moth with Cheerleader Tassles Tail? - Diaphania hyalinata
Clark Gardens - 14 west of Weahterford, Parker County, Texas, USA
November 9, 2008
Size: Maybe inch long
New to macro photography and Bug ID. On an umbrella canvas in the rest area of the botanical gardens.

I was actually reading
about those "cheerleader tassels" tonight! In several species of lepidopterans, males have extrusible structures called "hairpencils" that they use to dust pheromones onto females' antennae. Personally, I like "cheerleader tassels" better! ;)

Very cool!
These moths look like clothes hangers. Nice capture!

Much thanks, appreciated. Guess I need to learn how to use the guide better. But with so many species, I'm lucky to ID it as a moth.
