I have seen a few of these since I moved into my new house. They jump like a cricket but they have the long spider like legs. They gross me out and freak me out. What are they? Are they harmful? Poisonous? I've heard them called cave crickets, spider crickets, camel crickets...

We find these scary jumping little critters everywhere in our home. Does anyone know how to get rid of them?

i have these in my basement and they scare me when i do laundry .. i call then spicket hoppers ..now i know that i am not the only one that has them .. they just really scare me

Hello Sarah, I totally understand- they are very scary, we find ourselves jumping, running and screaming for my husband on a regular bases, wish we could get rid of them... ewe!!!

completely harmless indeed...
However I have found that they DO have a nasty habit of jumping out at you when you least expect it.

Camel Cricket...

I live in NJ and my wife started noticing these things about 2yrs ago, they scare the heck out of the both of us. We have a crawl space which is dirt. What can you use to illimanate them?
