Size: Approximately 2 inches
My son found this one crawling across the concrete porch, so no plant link. Strangely doll-like head, with the color and false eyes. Have had no luck with book ID and Internet so far.

Sawfly larva, so its not a caterpillar
There are some pictures of some similar larva in the guide as well!
