Size: 3/4 inch
This bug has a raised like shield with stripes along the outer edge. We are finding about 1-2 a day in our house. It has a rather unique shape. Please identify it and how to get rid of them. 3 of 3 images

I agree, but....
You should report this to your state department of agriculture. This is an introduced species (from overseas) that may not have been previously recorded from your area. Last I heard they were found only as far south as Virginia....
