Pls note, these are not long hairs...
but slender hollow wax tubes produced by ringshaped glands in the skin. The wax tubes are easily distinguished from true setae bij their cylindrical shaft. Setae are tapering into an apical point.
These wax tubes are typical for members of the families Dicyrtomidae and Neelidae.

Thanks for the correction. I never would have thought these were cylindrical.
