Plant bug carnivore??? - Lopidea

Plant bug carnivore??? - Lopidea
Athens/ State Botanical Garden of Georgia, Clarke County, Georgia, USA
May 13, 2008
Size: about 1 cm
Maybe it's just an illusion created by the angle of this shot, but it certainly looked like this plant bug (probably Lopidea) was preying on an aphid.

a good deal of mirids are predatory
(up to 20%, i guess) -- and many more are mixed feeders

I had no idea!
Thank you for enlightening me.
