Tree cricket - Neoxabea bipunctata - female

Tree cricket - Neoxabea bipunctata - Female
Athens/ Ben Burton Park, Clarke County, Georgia, USA
July 5, 2008
I believe this is a juvenile tree cricket, based on the incomplete wing development.

Yes, this is a Two-spotted Tree Cricket
The tip of the ovipositor is visible -- so she's a female. Actually, from the appearance of her wings, she looks like a 5th stage, or at least a 4th stage, instar. She is ready to molt. Nice photo.

I knew I could count on you! :-)
Thanks!

...and I've been looking at the other nice photos
that you've posted this weekend, and was wondering if you had any Tree Cricket photos! :D
