That's helpful
The wing veins look different than on more distant examination, but I think I was right about the subfamily. There's one set of veins that is optional -- R2 and R3 may be present or absent. This guy has R2 and R3 present, forming the loop common in Tanypodinae, and no extension of C past R4+5. I'll check my books tonight.
