Identification
"A medium-sized species with three black stripes on the mesonotum and black dorsal bands on the abdomen....D. properans is similar to salutans, but can be distinguished from it by the three velvety black stripes on the mesonotum; the mesonotal stripes in salutans are brownish" (Artigas, 1966).
Range
Known from Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Florida.
