Headed for Disaster - Prionus laticollis

Headed for Disaster - Prionus laticollis
Marion, Smyth County, Virginia, USA
July 13, 2005
Size: 1.5 inches
Found this big critter climbing up the side of my grandfather's house, he would have killed it for sure so I moved it to a more ideal location. It was almost exactly an inch and a half, and fat as could be. It looked like it may have been full of eggs or it just finished a whale of a meal, lol.
