Wood Roach - Periplaneta americana

Wood Roach - Periplaneta americana
Cedar Rapids, Linn County, Iowa, USA
October 12, 2004
Size: 44mm
This specimen was given to me and I would like to know what it is. I think it might be a Parcoblatta sp based upon a picture in Bigguide.

Confirm ID...
Just to confirm that this is indeed Periplaneta americana (not Australian).

Looks like Periplaneta americana
the American Cockroach or the Australian Cockroach , P.australiae, given the large size and pronotal banding. This is apparently a cosmopolitan species- I've encountered plenty of these in urban settings when I was living/growing up in Southeast Asia (Singapore) many years ago.

Periplaneta americana
Thanks for the help.
