Hairstreak Butterfly - Satyrium calanus

Hairstreak Butterfly - Satyrium calanus
Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota, USA
July 30, 2008
I'm not sure as to which Hairstreak this is. Is it a Banded Hairstreak - Satyrium calanus or a Hickory Hairstreak - Satyrium caryaaevorum? I'm posting a follow-up image of another Hairstreak with the same question. I realize that there is some wear and tear right where there would be color on it's lower wing. Thanks.

My two cents worth
They can be pretty confusing, but I'd go with Banded. On Hickory the band on the front wing is usually more offset, and the center and top marks in the middle of the hind wing usually line up better than this.

Another cent
Banded is also much more common, especially in Minnesota.
