Zagloba ornata
from "the book"(1), this appears to be Zagloba ornata (Horn) (described under Cephaloscymnus ornatus). Type is stated to be in the MCZ under C. ornatus here. Distro: most of CA, and southern AZ.

For the genus, Gordon states the following: "These species are not commonly collected and I have not seen host data for any of the US species (4) - but likly scale preditors."
