Malaise trap June 20-26, 2008, narrow wooded valley near limestone seeps and creek.
Borror & Delong say 8-14 mm long but this is smaller.

Thanks to MJ for letting me use the data from this specimen in my publication on Orussus minutus, which is available here (1).

Moved tentatively per Dr.Smith's comment

Orussus sp.
Chances are it is Orussus minutus Middlekauff, the smallest of the three eastern species. There is considerable variation in size within each species, so size is not a good criterion for species separation.

Very interesting.
Will have to check the catalog to see if there are other genera, and/or whether there is sexual dimorphism.....
