Syrphidae to identify, please - Mallota bautias

Hello all,

I photographied this Syrphidae last June at Sherbrooke Quebec (near Vermont, USA).

I'm suspecting Genus Merodon or Mallota but I'm not sure.

Any idea about the Genus/Species???
