Thta is a wonderful picture of the upperside, the fact that it is take-off makes it harder.

Thank you for noticing and for your comments. Looking at your contributions, I see you too have an affinity for Leps.

The winter form Sleepy Orange is one of my favorite butterflies because of its embossed (vermiculated) wings. Of all the many photos I have of Sleepies, this is the only dorsal shot. As you can see, I just did get it in the frame. BTW I stopped down and used fill flash to catch it.
