Hanging Thief - Diogmites

Hanging Thief - Diogmites
Fort Bragg, Cumberland County, North Carolina, USA
July 17, 2005
I had to go back and check the pine-needle leaf angles to make sure I was positioning this photo correctly. This is how the thief was hanging. Not sure on ID of the wasp it has as prey.

Nicely done!
Great shot.

Laws of physics do not apply:-)
Fabulous shot, Lynette! Gravity-defying fly there! The wasp is probably the eastern yellowjacket, Vespula maculifrons.
