Found this guy had decided to set up house with us for the winter.
Never saw one before although he may be very common. What is it?
Seems to like fresh pear. Any other suggestions what to feed him?

This is an assassin bug, genus Pselliopus, probably P. barberi. They feed on other insects, but are known to hibernate as adults. Best to gently relocate it outdoors to a sheltered spot such as under bark on a log or something.
