Baly's Earth Boring Beetles - Geotrupes balyi

Size: about 14.5 mm
The species determination is made on the basis that this is the only species in the bugguide region sporting a combination of punctate stria, somewhat metallic color, and sutural stria that do not end at the pronotum but follow its contour, ending at the elytral base.
