What kind of roach is this? - Ectobius lapponicus

What kind of roach is this? - Ectobius lapponicus
Framingham, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA
July 25, 2008
I find roaches in my back yard all the time, they typically look like this. They hide out amongst dead leaves and wood, the yard is under oak and birch cover. I never get them inside the house. I've been calling them "wood roaches" but this seems to match genus Blattella more than genus Parcoblatta. Can't be a German one though, right, because it was hanging out outside?

Moved
Moved from Blattellidae.

Ectobius lapponicus
would be my placement - family Ectobiidae.

Another genus to compare
Massachusetts has a lot of Ectobius(1).

Moved
Moved from Blattella.
