Spider Wasp - Auplopus Spider Wasp - Auplopus

Auplopus with prey (DE)
Image is a little fuzzy but based on the fact that the wasp seems to have a green metallic sheen, and spider has its legs amputated I am pretty sure it is Auplopus.

Auplopus
Sorry about the fuzzy images - this wasp got very nervous and was moving constantly when I got too close. Thanks for the genus ID.

Mine wasn't shy
The Anoplius I shot in the fall didn't mind my camera and flash getting close while she filled her hole.

Behavior
Just guessing and assuming that its a female, the prospect of loosing provisions for her future offsprings may have contributed to her behavior.
