Leaf-footed Bug - Leptoglossus - Leptoglossus corculus

Leaf-footed Bug - Leptoglossus - Leptoglossus corculus
Stafford, Stafford County, Virginia, USA
July 16, 2005
Assuming it was attracted to light on deck. He was looking up into the camera. I almost stepped on him...accidentally. It is an assassin bug isn't it? I wasn't able to find an image that had similar markings. Help with ID appreciated.

Moved
Moved from Leptoglossus.

Coreidae: Leptoglossus
A leaf-footed bug, see guide page for Leptoglossus. It looks like that genus.

L. corculus, I think
based on the shape of those leaflike extensions.

Well...
...that explains why I wasn't able to find it. :) I should have realized that.
