I made a species page and moved your image. I have a couple of questions about the larva (didn't move that image) ... posting the questions under the larva image.

Eruciform larva in oak galls
I was very interested in your 2008 post showing a eruciform larva that you found in an oak gall. I have two such specimens which I just posted earlier this week (7/6/2022). They had 3 prs. of thoracic legs and 4 prs. of abdominal legs. They are definitely caterpillar-like larvae. Do you know their likely life cycle and when/how they gain access to the gall chamber? I would love to know more.
