Size: <8mm
This small, very shiny beetle was found on moist sand on the riverbank. Any direction toward an id apprecieated. I apologize for the quality of the photo, it can be frassed.

I saw something very different in this image due to high-domed pronotum, deflexed head, and the widespread stance, akin to one of these.
