Dictynidae

Dictynidae
City Creek, Salt Lake City, (N40°47.412'W111°52.711'ele4641'), Salt Lake County, Utah, USA
September 4, 2006
Size: 2.5mm
Might be a member of the Dictyna "volucripes" group sensu Chamberlin & Gertsch 1958. I'm leaning towards Dictyna idahoensis. Maybe a penultimate male. Open to suggestions or comments.

Dictyna coloradensis
I've never seen Dictyna idahoensis, so I have no opinion on that one, but take a look at this Dictyna coloradensis I found in one of Rod Crawford's albums. It looks like there are still quite a few that looks like this. Dictyna major is one see this page.

Actually,...
I doubt anyone one has seen D. idahoensis, the name should have been Dictyna idahoana. Placement in Dictyna is a sure bet. I'm still tending towards idahoana due to the contrasting white carapace hairs, although, from what I can surmise coloradensis is very similar. Have to read through Chamberlin & Ivie again for clues. A worthy winter project. ;)>
