aquatic worm

aquatic worm
Groton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA
January 23, 2009
Size: ~3cm
Found in the muck at the edge of the swamp out back. I can frass this after any comments. I'm just looking for some help identifying this thing. It's got a many segmented body, so I don't think it's a horsehair worm.

Looks like an annelid (oligochaete) of some sort
maybe Tubifex

Delicious
Many Tanypodinae eat those instead of following a vegetarian diet like the rest of the Chironomidae.

Well,
It's good to find out that it's not some sort of parasitoid.
