Pleasing Lacewing - Nallachius americanus - Male
Moccasin Lake, Winston, Douglas County, Georgia, USA
August 6, 2008
Attracted to light and taken just three days after first images posted to ID request. Very small, wingspan about 8 to 10mm. Very difficult to photograph as they are highly skittish of the camera. Habitat is heavily wooded, mostly hardwoods with a lot of dead material and less than 50 yards from an 11 acre lake. This image was taken vertically and fails to show the feathered antennae as do the previous shots.

#250882 Identification – Nallachius americanus
