Western half of the continent, with just one sp. ranging across the northern part of the continent (A. leopardus Horn) and 3 spp. east of the Rockies (MB to NM)(1)
Habitat
Most spp. are boreal or high elevation generalists, those with explanate pronota appear to be rodent burrow specialists, primarily with ground squirrels and prairie dogs.(1)
