Swamp Spreadwing

Swamp Spreadwing "black form" - Lestes vigilax - Male
Keating Lake, Kings County, New Brunswick, Canada
August 31, 2007
Most specimens in New Brunswick are metallic green, but locally all the ones we caught at this lake seemed to be this colour instead...Maybe just an age thing, as they do seem to change as the season progresses.
