Formicidae 01 - Formica - female

Formicidae 01 - Formica - Female
Canyon Park, Bothell,, Snohomish County, Washington, USA
October 12, 2008
Size: ~1.5cm
An adult winged female found wandering the ground under a Ginkgo biloba tree.

Perhaps
Based off of material I have collected around Western Washington, this rather looks like Formica pacifica. This is stated with about 90% confidence.

Formica sp. (fusca group) winged female
One of the brown species, like F. aerata or F. neorufibarbis.

Thanks
Thanks Richard for the ID!
